Looking to the Future - our series of lunchtime / after-work talks
We have had three talks in this series and now have pleasure in announcing the fourth:
Topic: Transforming Capitalism
Speaker: Dr Peter Heslam of Trinity College, Cambridge and Director of Transforming Business - click here for a short Bio.
Venue: The Scottish Parliament, Committee Room 2
Date: Tuesday 7 September, 5.45pm for 6.15, ending 7.15
How to book: Because places will be limited and security procedures understandably strict, you first need to register with us your interest in attending this event. Priority will be given to people working in the offices of our city. Please email us and we will put you in our holding pool of potential invitees. We will then formally communicate with you nearer the time as to what to do next. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Return of the Business Alpha course - in two parts of the city
Business Alpha is a variant of the acclaimed Alpha course which looks at the meaning of life and introduces or re-introduces people to Christianity. Business Alpha brings office people together in relaxed, informal settings to explore connections between spirituality and the world of work. We will be running the course both in Holyrood and in the West End, from 29 September to 16 December. Inaugurating each course will be the former Cabinet Minister, now author and broadcaster, Jonathan Aitken. (Click here for his bio on Wikipedia.) You will be most welcome at either of our two Taster events:
Subject: "Christianity: Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?"
Holyrood: Wednesday 15 September
Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, 81 Holyrood Road
5.45 for 6.15pm, ending 7.15
Fare: a hot supper
Cost: a donation only
West End: Thursday 16 September
The Roxburghe Hotel, Charlotte Square

Please email us to let us know which Taster you want to come to. We look forward to welcoming you. You can then decide if you want to do one or other of the courses. If you want to learn more about the course as a whole, click here.
