We are thrilled that one of the UK's leading bankers, Ken Costa, Chairman of Lazard International and Deputy Chairman of Lazard, will address this topic. Ken has had a distinguished 30 year career in the City of London. He has said he reads the FT and the Bible every day, though in which order we are not sure. Last year he brought out a book called "God at Work - Living every day with purpose". It has met with some acclaim. To learn a little more about Ken click here.
With our sister trust Business Alpha we are delighted that Ken has offered to take time out of the City to be with us in Edinburgh. On that day he will deliver what will amount to an introductory talk to the "God at Work" course which we will be helping Business Alpha run through the autumn. Each Thursday over lunch, members of our own business community here in Edinburgh will open up topics from Ken's book such as "Tough Questions", "Failure, Disappointment and Hope", "Ambition and Life Choices". Guests will then have a chance to discuss these issues and more over coffee. The setting and style will be friendly and informal.
If you like the introductory talk, you can register for the course as a whole and purchase a copy of the book on the day. When it comes to the course, there will be no charge - you just make a donation each week to cover the cost of your light lunch.
