Timing: 12.45 for 1pm, ending by 1.45pm
This is open to anyone who has had any contact with Business Alpha, or any Alpha course, and who works in the city centre. Indeed, even if you haven't had contact with Alpha: if you work in the city centre and would like to enjoy friendly get-togethers over a light lunch looking at a short letter in the Bible, you are most welcome to join us. The letter is the Epistle to the Philippians, written by the apostle Paul to his friends at Philippi. The LWL course, as we call it, is very informal. Participants eat and chat at tables and then discuss a chapter of a book each week, each chapter covering a section of Paul's letter. You can pick up a copy of the book by coming along on the first day. Entitled "A Life Worth Living", it costs £5.99. The author of the book is the man behind the Alpha course, Nicky Gumbel.
Our LWL course is a chance to renew friendships and make new ones, and to explore spirituality further, especially connections between our spiritual side and our world of work. The course runfor 10 weeks.
