We can never revisit the topic of work-life balance too often.  It is good now and then to get a fresh perspective on it - both for ourselves and for others.  Our own situation may be in balance, or perhaps not.  Either way, what about colleagues in the offices and businesses around us?  How may we be of help to them?

In this first lunchtime talk of our new series, "How do I help a colleague, client, friend or relative who... (fill in the blank)", we will explore the issues with the help of an experienced practitioner and good speaker.  Ruth Walker is the Customer Relationships Director for Scottish Enterprise, based at their HQ in Atlantic Quay, Glasgow.  She is well qualified to open up the realities and practicalities of the subject, as she balances a demanding and responsible job, involving travel, with family, charity work and church commitments.  So we can look forward to more than a theoretical stroll through the landscape, rather to a bit of real-world exploration.  For a bio of Ruth Walker, click here

Do come along that day to understand a little more of how we can help people with whom we come into contact - and we will no doubt also glean some valuable insights for our own work-life journeys.

Humanising the world of work is what we are about.
