Eric Smith
Consultant
Eric became part of business matters at the beginning of 2008 after taking early retirement from a 31 year career in the chemical industry with Unilever, Scottish and Newcastle and latterly ICI and its descendant companies. He is Session Clerk at his church in Brightons near Falkirk. Spare time (the little he has) is taken up with photography, caravanning and playing guitar and bass (not all at the same time!).

Wilma is a volunteer member of the business matters staff team handling admin tasks like registration for talks. Married to former trustee Michael, she can often be seen at business matters events greeting guests with her welcoming smile (and sometimes also a cup of tea or coffee!).

Having begun his career with PwC and Dell Corporation, Innes is a CA and a freelance finance director who works with small businesses. He is a member of St John’s Church in Linlithgow and enjoys being fit, listening to music and caring for his three children. He is also trustee of befriending charity, Ladywell Neighbourhood Network.

Alison is a family lawyer by profession and vocation – she is a director of SKO Family Law Specialists in Edinburgh. Alison is actively involved in Barclay Viewforth Church where she serves as an elder. She enjoys travelling, walking and spending time with family and friends.

Judith is a manager within the Change & IT function in Standard Life UK. She loves working with people and is passionate about helping them be the best they can be in their role.
Judith enjoys spending her spare time with friends and family, exploring new places, being active (walking, road cycling and running) and supporting the children and youth in her church with their faith journey. -

Douglas is a solicitor who specialises in Corporate and Sports law. He is actively involved in St Stephen's Comely Bank Church in Edinburgh and enjoys keeping fit, watching football, rugby and pretty much any sport and travelling to new places.

George has worked for KPMG since late 2011 and is currently a Director leading the Cyber Security practice in Scotland. He has worked in the world of IT risk and security for more than 20 years. George is married with two grown up daughters and enjoys hill walking, watching sport and going to the gym (just not often enough).

Steven has run his own psychology practice, Professional Motivation, since 2008. He works with elite sports professionals, businesses and individuals to help them enhance their performance and quality of life. He is a much sought-after speaker, having spoken in countries throughout Europe, Asia, North America and Central America.
He is married to Louise and lives in Uphall, West Lothian. Much of his spare time is taken up serving in innovative Christian charities but he always finds time for relaxing with his wife, travelling and dining with friends and family.
