Hello.
Following many months of praying, speaking to various parties and considering all options for the future of Business Matters Edinburgh, the Trustees of The Business Matters Trust (Scottish charity number SC 037143) have agreed to wind up the trust and transfer the business matters’ brand and residual assets to Workplace Chaplaincy Scotland (Scottish charity number SC041857). We are aiming for the transfer to take effect from 30 April 2021.
Business Matters Edinburgh has been serving for 15 years and has helped many people working in Edinburgh. This change in governance will build upon and further strengthen the support and services that business matters is able to offer our network. In particular, we will continue with our series of events in which we consider how to support one another as we emerge from the Coronavirus pandemic and build a greener, fairer society.
As part of the transfer, Douglas Roberts has been invited to become a trustee of Workplace Chaplaincy Scotland, which he has accepted.
The Trustees would like to thank the many people and organisations who have contributed to the work over the last 15 years and we hope and pray that you will continue to stay involved in the future.
We are excited about this new chapter for business matters and are greatly looking forward to working closely with Andy Gregg and his team at Workplace Chaplaincy Scotland in the months and years’ ahead.
