The emergence of snowdrops, buds on the trees and longer days are welcome signs that Spring is not too far away. The roll-out of the vaccines to protect us from the worst ravages of the Coronavirus is also a reason for hope and optimism that better days are indeed ahead.
Here at business matters, we have been making preparations for the opportunities and challenges that the coming year may present. In particular, we have launched our “Preparing for the new Post-Covid Norm” initiative in which we engage with colleagues from across the business community to consider the “three Rs” of resilience, re-skilling and relationships. In the first of a series of interviews, Steven Turnbull, psychologist and former trustee chair of business matters, shared some very useful and valuable insights with us. If you’ve not seen the interview, you can do so by checking out our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/businessmattersedinburgh.com.
We will be hosting our next “… in conversation with…” event on Monday 1 March at 5.45pm. You can register by clicking on the link below:

At the risk of repeating an overused cliché, we are in unprecedented times. We’re fortunate at business matters to have a broad network of people who are willing to help and support one another through whatever challenges we face in our working lives. Please do make the most of the support network that is available.
