During Mental Health Awareness Week, we aim to provide you with access to cutting edge information on improving mental health in the workplace, through a series of emails, blogs, video links and live presentations. To enable us to do so, we have partnered with Scottish mental health charity ‘Thinking Better’, and together, we look forward to making a positive impact during the week and beyond.
Thinking Better is a Scottish based charity (SC044670) which helps people to improve their mental health and fulfill more of their potential, by sharing the latest research, information and proven psychological techniques that people of all ages and from all walks of life can use for their benefit. During Mental Health Awareness Week, Thinking Better will be providing information on how to overcome anxiety, depression, low confidence, low motivation and an absence of happiness.
Founded in 2010, Thinking Better has worked in partnership with numerous charities, schools, businesses and community groups across Scotland to deliver public presentations to around 3,000 people and deliver over 600 1-2-1 sessions. Lead Psychotherapist, Steven Turnbull, commented: “We are excited to be partnering with business matters during Mental Health Awareness Week to serve the business community of Edinburgh. Thinking Better envisions a society where all people actively value, promote and experience good mental health. We are dedicated to enhancing and promoting the mental health of all people through education, prevention, advocacy and service. Good mental health is a fundamental component for people and society to fulfill their full potential. There is no health without mental health. The quality of the education, advocacy and service we provide strives to be of the highest standard, translating the latest science into the most effective practice. That is why we are so pleased to be working alongside business matters. They are a charity that we regard as being at the cutting edge of meeting the needs of the business community in Edinburgh. Together, I believe we can make a positive impact on many people.”
